In June of 2022, DRUVVY released a 15-track audio cruise entitled Brand New Ancient Rhythms through his independent label Gold Grooves. Paying homage to producer/pioneer extraordinaire J. Dilla, this instrumental trip starts off with the track aptly named “Dillicious”. DRUVVY channels Roy Ayer’s vibes with a smooth delivery on “Sankofa 2020”, the only track on the project with his vocals. Since it’s release Brand New Ancient Rhythms has been gaining streams while being added to playlists on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. 

DRUVVY is a first generation Jamaican-American born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Music has always been a lifestyle for him starting in church, where he sang on the choir and played drums from an early age for the church’s weekly radio broadcast heard all over the tri-state area. In 2018, DRUVVY released his first single Lips Like Cardi B after moving to Oakland where he currently resides.
